My husband and I had a long talk about Mike last night.  While my husband agrees with me about the severity of these things Mike is doing his approach at comfronting him about it is differently than the way I would handle it.  For instance, since we know Mike is experiencing with alcohol, the car would be gone.  In fact I would sell it.  You have to send a strong message to him that what he is doing is wrong.  Not to mention the car is now a weapon if the driver is drinking.  I feel like God is laying heavily on my heart that we have all these warning signs and now we need to do the job He entrusted us with and be the parents to this child.  Otherwise the flip side is not something we ever want to deal with.  I was explaining this to my husband and he said he is worried Mike will end up not talking to him.  So I asked my husband would you rather Mike not talk to you until he comes to his senses or would you rather bury him or have to watch him spend his life in prison because he killed someone in a car accident?  I know he doesn't want either one of those options but I still am not sure how he is going to handle it.  He said he is going to have him come talk to us this weekend.  I told my husband that I am going to ask the questions like...I want a name and a number of the person who bought the cigarettes and alcohol.  My husband said he doubts Mike will tell me.  Once again, I told my husband that my way of handling it would be, if he wouldn't tell me I would call the police and have an officer ask him.  My husband and Mike's mom do not seem to be concerned in the least bit to find out who is buying this crap.  This person needs to be made aware that they are going to be watched and if they ever buy cigarettes or alcohol for a minor again the police will be waiting for them.  I have watched too many Dr. Phil's and Interventions, not to mention following the stories on Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton to see where this all could be headed if someone does not get a grip on this boy. 

Jaxon's parents did not have much of an update last night.  He is still sedated waiting on a liver to become available.  His mom was going to go the the Ronald McDonald floor of the hospital last night in order to try to get some sleep.  I know she has to be running out of energy because she is not sleeping much and the ups and downs each day brings has to be taking a toll on them both.  Please also continue to keep Tyler in prayer that a liver will become available for him as well.  And for Gina and George.  Thank you sooooooooo much for your prayers.  The power of prayer is incredibly strong!

I have to share a funny story.  Our local news stations have been advertising the upcoming eclipse so that everyone can get out and watch it.  I am not one that studies the moon, stars, and sun but thought it would be something neat to see, especially for Hylari.  So I call my dad and my sister so that they all can go check out the eclipse as well.  I remembered seeing on the news that it was to start at 9:01PM.  We are all standing outside in the freezing cold and see nothing.  I then hear the phone start ringing and it was my dad letting me know nothing is happening.  I go and check the news website only to find out the eclipse is not until tonight.  What a bone head I am.  Watch tonight we will totally forget about it and miss it!

I am into a new singer right now.  She is a country singer by the name of Sara Evans.  Sara is actually from Missouri about an hour and a half away from me.  I have been to her hometown several times and her high school when Mike played football.  Her hometown of Booneville is such a cute little town.
