Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site
My third day of vacation went really well too. Can you tell I am absolutely loving my time off? I got most of my cleaning done. In fact I have a new buzz word for you. Microfiber Towel. I am sure you have seen the infomercials about these things. Let me tell you....they are a dream! I picked mine up at the dollar store, of all places, and I LOVE it! I washed my windows with it and not a streak was left behind. Just be sure when you wash yours to NOT use fabric softner.
I tried to take a nap yesterday but I must have sent off sonars because my husband called twice, my sister, my mom, and work all called once while I was trying to catch some zzzzz's.
Now I am at the point where I will have my hubby and Hylari home with me for the rest of my vacation. I was talking to my friend Pamela last night on the phone and snickered that my vacation was pretty much over now. Anyone with a family will understand that when you have everyone at home there is just no getting around having to do alot of extra work. We had went to my parents house so that my husband could fix a computer problem and on our way home we stopped at Quick Trip where Hyl and my husband got a donut. My hubby asked for me to get him a glass of milk to have with his donut. I brought it to him and within a few minutes some of it got accidentally spilled. So I clean that up. About an hour later my husband asks me to get him a glass of pink lemonade. He is playing a game on his computer and Hylari and I are sitting on the couch watching TV. The dog is on her pillow next to the TV tray my husband has by his computer chewing on a squeaky toy. All of a sudden my husband got a cramp in his arm and swings his arm backwards knocking over the glass of pink lemonade which goes all over the dog, her pillow and the floor. It was actually kind of funny. But you know how sticky pink lemonade is? I run and get the mop and Hyl gets a towel. We get the dog cleaned up (who is trying to lick the floor the whole time) and the floor mopped (thank goodness for the hardwood floors!) I kissed my husband and told him that I loved him but he was alot of work. He didn't like that too well. He likes to think he is a simple person and for the most part I let him think that .... but I know otherwise.
We all slept in until 9:30 this morning which was incredibly nice. Once we all were up we exchanged Valentine's gifts. We gave Hylari some candy and a Jonas Brothers Tshirt. My husband got me a mushy card and some roses and he got Hylari a single rose. He also gave me a new piece to my Willow Tree collection called "Promise....Hold dear the promise of love". I absolutely LOVE that piece!! I gave my husband a mushy card and some candy. My husband always says Valentine's day is for girls and that he doesn't want anything for it.
Jaxon's mom updated the site yesterday saying they took him off of the ventilator but that he had problems with breathing so they had to put it back on him. They are going to try to take him off again in 3-4 days. They also have noticed he has blood on his lungs. That sounds serious to me but the doctors still feel like they are making progress. Jaxon is pointing to things he wants so to me that says his brain was not effected by the amonia levels. Some girls from church had went to visit yesterday and reported he was doing really well. My sister was going to go down to the hospital this morning to take some Valentine's day cards her Sunday school class made. She is supposed to call me after she leaves.
Not alot planned today. I do need to do some PTA stuff and want to clean the tops of the ceiling fans........with my Microfiber towel!
Have a Happy Valentine's Day!!!!! Spread the love!!!!!!!!!!
