Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site
The power of prayer works! Thank you for ALL your prayers for Jaxon. Out of the blue liver #1 started working today! The doctors are so impressed and they think that once the liver is close to 100% the kidneys will fall in line with it. Isn't that wonderful news? The amonia levels within his body keep declining as well. Jaxon continues to be agitaded and the reason being is he is still on the ventilator. The doctor wants to get that removed. God is good and Jaxon's body is showing His presence! Thank you! Thank you!
Day 2 was just as nice as day 1. I didn't get all the things done as I had said I would but that's ok....today was a "me" day. My sister and I got our nails filled this morning and then she came over to my house for about an hour. I spent the bulk of the afternoon trying to find an old classmate that was a real good friend of mine and is still listed as "missing" on our reunion site. I found two different email addresses for her but they both bounced back to me. I was able to find a mailing address so I will attempt the snail mail route. I hope this is my friend that I am looking for. I would love to see her.
Once again, my Boxer didn't win it's group, therefore, wasn't even eligible for Best in Show. The cutest Beagle, named Uno won. He was a very nice looking dog and he owned the ring as he presented himself both for his group and the Best in Show competitions. I am sooooooooo glad the Poodle didn't win. No offense to Poodle lovers but I just do not like those types of dogs. The Standard and Toy Poodles both won their groups and were in competition for Best in Show. The Boxer that won the best in breed has been the same Boxer who has been competing at Westminister for the past couple of years. So it has to be a good dog just not good enough to get the group win. The announcer did say that this particular Boxer was going to be retiring soon so I doubt we see him next year. MAYBE, just maybe next year will be our year!
Tonight we had Hylari's Parent Teacher Conference. Our school district always schedules the spring conferences as student led. So Hylari prepared a portfolio of papers and a little speech for us. She also had a poem that was written with prepositions that was really good. She still has all A's!!!!
Tomorrow Hylari gets out for a half day. I am going to try to do my cleaning in the morning so that I can spend some time with her in the afternoon. I want to paint her room Thursday or Friday but I told her she has to clean it first so that is totally on her if it gets done or not.
Talk at you tomorrow!
