Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site
I had an absolutely wonderful first day of vacation. Work only called about 5 times. Which in a way it makes me feel good that I play an important role in what I do. Oh and those boxes that we thought were thrown away ended up being found. I stand corrected. I had 2 guys in my department tell me they saw the guy we accused throw them away. So I certainly learned a lesson from it all. My boss said that she has asked her boss for a meeting with him, her and I when I return. In the meeting we will ask for total and complete control of the docks so that we do not have to encounter something like this again.
I went to Pamela's at around 9:00AM and we worked on our themed Christmas tree ornaments. I am hand painting my Raggedy Ann faces and I am actually doing pretty good. Pamela is going to help me make the dresses because I cannot sew at all.
We finally got a PTSA President. Yeah! I believe the lady that accepted the nomination will do a fantastic job. I emailed our current President last Wednesday or Thursday and told her we had someone who wanted the weekend to think about it and that I would email her the report on Monday or Tuesday. Well bright and early today I had an email from her wanting to know where the nomination list was. Our bylaws state that we have to have the nominations posted by March 1 so I do not know what her anal problem is. I typed her up the nomination report and emailed her in completely formal PTA etiquette when actually I wanted to tell her to take the report and stuff it!
I attempted to watch the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. My sister and her family came over so that I could cut my niece some letters out with my Sizzix for her Valentine's box. They stayed for about an hour. For the next hour and a half Hylari chatted my head off. I tell you, I keep looking for a pause button on her. LOL. The Sporting group is not until tomorrow night which is my favorite group to watch because that is where the Boxer competes. I laugh each year the dog show is on because I have not been able to watch it in peace since 1996 when Hylari was 7 months old. Maybe in about 6-7 years I will get to watch it again and actually get to hear the entire show.
Tomorrow morning my sister and I are going to go get our nails filled at 10:00AM. After that all I have planned for the day is to clean 3 rooms, work out and take a nap.
The doctors decided over the weekend that Jaxon is going to need a second liver transplant. He is listed as an 1A critical status so if a donor liver becomes available he will be the first one to receive it. He now has his eyes open more than he has them closed; however, he is not focusing on anything in particular. He is doing alot of shaking which they say that is due to his body waking back up and high amonia levels in his body. He is also crying and making grimaces like he is in alot of pain. They are also concerned that the high level of amonias could be causing permanent brain damage. It is all incredibly sad. They were hoping a liver would become available within two days. They are giving him vitamins through an IV but really can't give him any nutrition because he needs to have an empty stomach for when a liver does become available so that he can go straight into surgery. Otherwise they would have to wait for 6 hours for his stomach to empty and I believe his mother said that they couldn't harvest the liver that long. Please continue to keep lil Jaxon in your prayers.
Sometime this week be sure to visit for a new and improved look of my blog.
Have a great day!
