Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site
Hi-dee-ho! Yeah!!! It is Friday!!!!
Brock's Science Fair night went well. I had picked him up a mylar balloon that said "Congratulations" on it and tied it to a box of his favorite candy, malted milk balls, as a token to show him how proud we are of him. I had thought about it after I purchased it that Hylari was going to be jealous. Being the only girl she wants to be included on everything or her feelings get hurt. I pulled her to the side and told her how this was Brocky's moment to shine and that we all needed to be proud of him. She took it like a piece of cake and even made him a congratulations card. Good girl...showing maturity. However, it was AJ that ended up being the one being jealous. Uuuugh! Like I told you....never a dull moment! Brock's teacher had not told him that he got an A on his project so he was super duper excited when we told him. Yeah! And need I not have to mention, his mother didn't even bother going to the school for the Science Fair night. So sad!
I talked to my friend Pamela last night and we came up with some craft ideas we are going to start working on. We each are going to do themed Christmas trees. She is going to do mini sock monkey's dressed as various characters and I am going to do a Raggedy Ann themed tree. My friend Pamela is EXTREMELY crafty and can do anything she puts her hands on. Me...on the other hand....I am not as crafty. But I am going to give it the old good try. The first set of Raggedy Ann dolls I am going to make are made from the old round clothespins. I found a website that I can buy all the materials from so I plan on ordering them here in a few minutes. We are going to go ahead and start making them now because since Pamela is so crafty she starts getting orders for Christmas items in October and her time is usually booked up from then through Christmas. We are both so excited about it!
My husband just called me and he is going home sick. I think part of his problem is a part of his mask for his CPAP machine broke off the other night so the mask is not fitting as tight therefore he is not sleeping well. We ordered another mask and it should be in today. We bought the Turbo Tax software last night so I am sure it he will probably work on that while he is home which is kind of scary. We owed last year ...... chances are we will again this year.
Not alot planned for the weekend. AJ has a game bright and early Saturday morning but other than the usual weekend activites that is pretty much it.
Have a great one!
