Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site
Ok, so I went to lunch with my boss yesterday at the Mexican restaurant. I had 2 cheese enchiladas and a Diet Coke. It was absolutely delish. I rarely get to go to the restaurant because my husband does not like it but it happens to be one of my favorites. We go up to the register to pay. My bill was $7 and I paid with a $20 and the guy gives me $13 back. I am telling my boss a story as I go back to our table to lay my tip money down. Later on in the afternoon I was in a snicky snack mood and our vending machine didn't have anything appealing so I drove up to the gas station to try to find something better. I reach into my purse to pay for my snack and realize there are just one dollar bills inside my purse. I dig around a bit and then think to myself......I must have laid the $10 bill down as the tip money instead of a $1. What a dork I am! It shows I can't talk and do a task at the same time. Yeah, so my sweet little waiter got a $10 tip for my $7 meal. He probably thought he hit the jackpot!
Anyhoo.....I got a pay back for it because today I went to lunch with another co-worker and in front of us in line were 7 Army soliders. Now, granted, put 5-6 years on me and I probably could have been their mother but they were absolutely gorgeous all decked out in their Army clothes. If you know any single girls looking for a hubby....tell them to check out the Army. I happen to think that they are not only attractive men but knowing what they stand for and do for us makes them even more appealing. And don't worry....I already shared this with my hubby. As soon as I got back from lunch I told him about my beautiful Army guys. He just thinks I am a nut bucket.
I was able to get my nails done last night. I ended up having to get a new set put on because I had waited too long to go get them filled. I like the new set better anyway. I also got them alot shorter and they look alot nicer that way. Then afterwards I had to run Hyllie to the bookstore to get a new book to read for school. I still ended up being up until 1:00 last night although I was trying to shoot to be in bed by 11:45. Tonight my hubby told me he would do *whatever* it took to help me to get to bed earlier. I hope we can make some head way because I am totally worn out and need a good nights rest.
I must be going now....almost time to go home! Yeah!
