Let the madness begin

  • Mood:
  • Pray for: The Eagles!

Our weekend is jammed packed but I am ready for it.  I have stayed on top of the house duties so everything is clean and in place there.

Mike's big game is tomorrow.  The game is at 1:30PM; however, ticket sales start at 11:30AM.  Since it is another playoff game a huge crowd is expected.  We plan on being there by 11:30.  The school announced this morning that they would like the parents and fans to show up at the school at 10:15 to cheer the guys on as they get on the bus to head out to the game.  I want to go but my husband wants to get on the road since the game is about an hour away.  I am going to try to talk him into it.  If we do go to the school first we will need to leave our house by 9:45AM in order to make it to Mike's school by 10:15 and then leave directly from there to the game. Our cheerleaders will be at state competition during the football game so it is important that all of us parents and fans are there to get the guys pumped up.  It is going to be a long day for Brock, Hylari and AJ since we probably won't get back home until after 5.

Since we will be at the game most of the day on Saturday I decided that I am not going to have time to make home made pie crust for our Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday.  I prefer to make my own crust but the time is just not going to be there.  I have the menu planned for Sunday and hubby will go to the store tonight to get everything I need.  The turkey is in the fridge thawing out.  I will make the pies late Saturday night along with some type of fruit or jello salad and the rest will be prepared on Sunday.

Last night we went and ordered the basketball uniforms for my husband and AJ's basketball team.  The place we went to has really nice people working there.  It is the same place we bought Mike's letterman's jacket from.

Although I have been complaining about the cold I am not ready for what the forecasters are saying is heading our way next week.  FREEZING RAIN on Wednesday....which means ice.  Luckily that is the day we took off to put up the Christmas tree so we won't have to be out in it.  We are having the boys stay over on Tuesday and Wednesday nights of next week.  I doubt any of the boys will want to help Hylari and I decorate for Christmas but that is ok.  We will use their height and muscles when they are needed.

Well, I must be going.  Wish us luck on Saturday (it worked on Monday!)

Have a great weekend!

You've been busy posting again, there was a lot to read!

Good Luck first of all on the game. I hope that you enjoy your dinner festivities as well.

I also played with all of those toys as a child. They'd be great for grandchildren.

Christmas Luncheon switched to end of year party? That's ridiculous!
