Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site

It was an incredibly nice weekend. The weather stayed around 75 degrees which is very unusual. The kids played outside for most of the weekend. I even got out there and played some basketball with them. From the sounds of it the weather is really going to change later this weekend. But after all it is Fall, y'all.
I am hoping to get my Christmas shopping done this weekend. The stores are already getting a little too crowded for my liking. I got the kids wish list done and now need to weed through it to what we can afford, what is really going to be used/played with, and what is needed. I think I will be able to get it all done in about 2 days.
I hope I do not run into a salesperson like I did last night at JcPenney. We had taken Hylari to get a winter coat and some jeans. We had went into the dressing room area where we found all the dressing rooms piled with clothes. (You know from those that bring tons of clothes into the dressing room with them and do not return them to the hang up area if they are not going to buy them???) So I told her we were going to have to go into a dressing room with clothes in them. We only had 2 pairs of jeans to try on and were in and out in a flash. The dressing room has a long hallway and as we were almost out of the door the sales lady shouts out to me...
"Do you not want these clothes that are still left in here?"
I turned around and glarred at her. How dare she accuse me of leaving clothes behind when EVERY dressing room was filled with clothes. If she had been doing her job the clothes would have been taken out as soon as a customer left the dressing room....(however, I do think that the customer should have returned the clothes to the rack in the first place.)
I then said..."I brought out EXACTLY what I brought into the dressing room." Showing her the two pairs of jeans. I ALWAYS take the clothes out of the dressing room and back to the rack I got them from. I bypass the rack where the salesperson has to take them back out onto the floor and hang them up.
She said..."Oh..ok." Like she didn't believe me.
I am sooooooo not ready to deal with all the holiday attitude. That is not what the season is about. As well I am sure if this lady would have checked her job description it would say to "hang up clothes".
Tonight my husband gets his CPAP machine. I am so excited. Hopefully he will be sleeping through the night real soon. He has not had much energy to much of anything lately so it will be nice to have him back.
Have a great day!
Thanks for letting me know you are back! I wondered what happened to you & had hoped everything is okay. It sounds like it is. Funny about your trip to the Penneys. I went to the Dollar Tree store the other day. I kept everything I intended to purchase in the little carry shopping basket the store provides, set it on the conveyor belt, and when I was next to be checked out, she said to me, "will you take your items out of the basket?" I asked her why, she said that it is "easier" for her to ring me up. It made absolutely no sense to me because she just simply had to take 8 items out of this little basket and scan it. She went back and forth with me for about 2 minutes and I was just apalled that this check-out lady thought it was my job to make her job simpler. Amazing! Anyway, your kids are getting older now (age 1
and a great football player. Your daughter sounds as sweet and involved in school as ever. My 12 year old Ally also ran for student council, specifically for "Social Actions" but did not win. She did however become one of the class representatives. I tell her you win some you lose some. You are still as crafty as ever. I love your aroma pumpkin carving and your fake flower bed. It looks really good to me! Cute sign, gooble till you wooble & nice shelf! Well my dear, hope the CPAP maching is working for your hubby...take care & keep in touch...!
