Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site
I slept in until 10:40 this morning which is something I never do. I know I needed it. I usually am up until midnight every night so it was nice to get some extra sleep. AJ and my husband had a basketball clinic at 9:30. My husband got the boys breakfast since Hylari was still asleep. She finally woke up at 11:00 and never wanted any breakfast.
It was surprising warm outside last night so I went out and took down the Halloween decorations. Once I was on a roll I put up the majority of the outside fall/Thanksgiving decorations. I put plastic flowers in the flower bed out front. I normally plant mums but our weather has been so warm that I wasn't sure how they would do if I planted them. Now that we have had some cooler days the supply at the local nurseries are so picked over that I haven't wanted to purchase any. The plastic ones will do since I will only have them out there for about 3 and a half weeks.
Here are some pictures of my fall decor:
Fake flowers in the flower bed. I am not sure if I like them that much but they will have to do.

Pumpkin hanging outside of door. I had this out at Halloween time as well. I may switch it out.

This is the scene on the front porch. This is the first scarecrow I bought this year. His arm keeps falling out and his hat and hair have also come off. I have tried to repair him several times. The next time he comes apart he is going to be sat out for the trashman.

This is the new scarecrow....hopefully this one will last.

I found this cute lil guy up at Old Time Pottery.

I bought this shelf several months ago and finally got my husband to hang it up during half time of the KU game today. I have some fall decor on it now and will probably use it as a shelf that I can put seasonal decor on.

Well I need to do some cleaning right now....have a great weekend!
