Hello, I am Sami and welcome to my blog. For a few weeks now, I have been feeling some really big "growth spurts" inside of me. I am 30 something wife, mom/stepmom who has always put her children first. As of this year one of our sons will become an adult, two of our children will become teens and one will become a preteen. While I will continue to make my children a priority I must put my husband and our marriage first. I will also focus on bringing the woman within me out. I look forward to this new chapter in my life in order to watch our children grow into responsible adults, to love and cherish my husband and to be the beautiful, confident woman God created. Please join me in my journey and always feel free to comment, offer advise, or just say hello!
Hi Sami .. good to be back from Africa and love your site

After a long hectic day our evening was very low key and quiet. The boys were over and we all went out to dinner. Since the kids didn't have school no one had homework so we let them play with their electronics after we got back home. Our kids are even sick of snow. Usually they would want to go play in it but they didn't want to have anything to do with it yesterday.
I talked to my friend Pamela and since she is off from work on Monday I am going to go up to her house so that we can each start working on our themed Christmas trees. My wood pieces came in the mail yesterday. I still need to go to the craft store and pick up some paint and material.
I am dealing with a huge issue at work. I had some expensive computer equipment staged on a dock for one of our vendors that was to be installed next weekend. This bone head guy was tasked to "keep the docks clean" so what does he do? He THROWS away the equipment!!! And of course he won't own up to it although many other people in my group told me they saw him do it. My boss is still out until tomorrow so I went to talk to her boss about it and he basically told me to tell the vendor that we can't find the equipment but to not tell them it was thrown away. I am NOT going to lie to someone nor am I going to be the one to make the phone call. The bone head that threw it away can call them and he can figure out how to get the equipment ordered, paid for and delivered by the 15th! I can't wait for my boss to get back because we are going to go have a talk with the bone head's boss and he will be well aware to never lay his grubby hands on anything of ours again!!! And another thing how I know he is lieing is he won't talk to me. Why not just be honest? Even if you screwed up ..... admit it! Being honest is way better than walking around not talking to anyone when everyone knows you are not being honest!
I checked Jaxon's site last night and his mom had updated that his kidneys are not functioning properly since the surgery and this is a major concern for the doctors. They are going to keep him sedated and try to figure out what the problem is. His mom did say he is still very swollen but that his color is looking really good. Which as you know a person with liver problems has a yellow color to their skin so this must mean the new liver is working well. Please continue to pray for Jaxon and Tyler. I also ask for many prayers for my Bravejournal friend Gina's, husband George. Please pray the doctors can treat the spot found on his hip. Also keep Gina and the rest of the family in prayer as this is a stressful time for them all.
The PTA thing is pretty much under control. We are giving the one lady the weekend to decide if she wants to be the President or not. If she doesn't there is another that said she would step in only if we can't find anyone else. I have decided to wash my hands of it. I don't think I will even consider it during Hylari's 8th grade year. I will serve on the board in some other position, will help on the events, bring in food, etc. but I do not think I want the headache of being the President.
Have a great day!
